Whether you’re home, asleep or away, it’s easy to keep your residence at a comfortable temperature when you use the pre-programmed settings of your programmable thermostat. You can make adjustments to your smart thermostat’s setting, or adjust its program, remotely from a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection.
For the fourth year in a row, we’re bringing back our Black Friday deal on the My Thermostat Rewards program. Between November 23, 2018 and January 31, 2018, our one-time rebate on eligible thermostats is increased to $150 from the regular rebate of $85. Act now to register and receive your rebate as a credit to your energy bill. You’ll also receive an annual credit of $30 for ongoing participation in My Thermostat Rewards.
Earn your bill credit rebate through My Thermostat Rewards program:
- Purchase a qualifying thermostat, install it yourself, register with My Thermostat Rewards before January 31, 2019, and receive a $150 bill credit per thermostat.
- If you already have a qualifying thermostat that is not registered with the program, then register with My Thermostat Rewards before January 31, 2019, and receive a $150 bill credit per thermostat.

To qualify for the $150 bill credit, you must install a WiFi thermostat approved by CPS Energy, enroll in My Thermostat Rewards and allow CPS Energy to briefly adjust your thermostat settings during peak energy usage times. Each year, following the end of the summer season, a $30 credit will be applied to your bill.
Through this program, you agree to allow us to make adjustments to your thermostat during peak energy usage times, or what we refer to as "conservation events." This will likely happen several times during the summer months and typically occur between the hours of 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday. During conservation events, you can opt out at any time through your thermostat or smartphone app and return to your normal settings. Conservation events don't occur often but are crucial in managing the energy needs of our community.
Smart thermostats installed by CPS Energy do not qualify for the $150 bill credit or the $30 annual bill credit. The $300 value is based on the professional installation and cost of the thermostat.
